Guanajuato, the capital of the state with the same name, is located in central-northern Mexico. This city is known for its rich history and architecture, with iconic landmarks such as Plaza de la Paz along with the Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato, the Legislative Palace, the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, and the Juárez Theater. The city is characterized by its winding streets, a network of interconnected tunnels, and rugged topography.
The BOA project consists of a series of apartments designed with the intention of creating organic facades that simulate movement and waves, visible from different perspectives. The building's design was inspired by Guanajuato's distinctive features, incorporating the city's typical color tones, the structure of its streets, and the arrangement of buildings on different levels. This approach aims to harmoniously integrate the new construction with the city's urban and cultural environment.
Three types of apartments were developed according to the users' needs and the square footage used. The target users were students and recently graduated workers.
