PadiJar - Fintech App UIUX Case Study

Padijar Fintech app is focused on communal savings and shared budgeting for families, friend groups and the likes.

The full project spanned across 4weeks involving the full design process from research to hand-off.

The problem that Padijar solves is the cumbersome nature of managing shared savings and expenses. The goal is to remove the complexity and replace it with a seamless experience.

On this project, I was the sole UX Designer. Meaning I was responsible for the entire design process; conducting research, defining the problem, ideating solutions, visual designs and prototyping.

From the user research, I gathered major pain points users face with other savings app.

I created a user persona which served as an illustration of my typical user as I designed the mobile app screens.

For the typeface, I chose manrope because of it's simplicity which is one thing that Padijar interface promotes. The color palette choice as well builds trust; using a shade of blue as the primary color.

I kept the bottom navigation bar simple in both the light and dark interfaces. Using labels as well to promote accessibility.

The low fidelity wireframes show the basic layout of the Padijar app.

The high fidelity mockups was designed to be visually appealing. The color palette and typography choice made the whole layout calm and trustworthy which is what every fintech app aims for.

For accessibility, I chose colors that met with WCAG standard. Also I used different fonts of the typeface to convey visual hierarchy that is usable by screen readers as well.
