Mode 7 – E-commerce Platform
Mode 7 is an e-commerce platform where customers can explore and purchase devices, smart-home products, solar equipment and other technology products.
I worked on this project under Raymanthis as a developer responsible for building the backend using Payload CMS.
I was given the frontend design and my responsibility was to develop the backend from scratch, connect it to the frontend and make sure the different parts of the application worked together properly.
Some of the key things I worked on included:
Backend Development: Built the application backend from scratch using Payload CMS.
API Integration: Developed and integrated the APIs needed to connect the backend with the frontend.
Product Pages: Implemented the product page functionality, connecting product information and data to the frontend.
Trade-in Calculation System: Developed the calculation functionality that helps users estimate the value of devices they want to trade in.
Frontend Integration: Connected the backend functionality to the supplied frontend design to make the application dynamic and functional.
Working on Mode 7 gave me practical experience building a content-managed e-commerce backend, developing APIs, handling product data and implementing business logic for a real-world application.

SmartCoop is a digital cooperative savings platform designed to help members save money, manage their funds and work towards their financial goals through different savings options.
I joined this project as a Full-Stack Development Assistant, working alongside the Minds and Machine development team. I was brought in to support the ongoing development of the platform, contribute to new features, improve existing functionality and resolve technical issues.
Some of the areas I worked on included:
Paystack Integration: Integrated Paystack with the Laravel backend to support payment-related operations.
Wallet Creation: Implemented functionality for creating customer wallets through Paystack.
BVN Verification: Worked on integrating Paystack's BVN verification service to support user identity verification.
UI Development: Designed and developed application screens to improve the user experience.
Bug Fixing: Investigated and resolved bugs, improved existing functionality and helped maintain the application.
Working on SmartCoop gave me practical experience with fintech development, payment gateway integration, financial application workflows and maintaining an existing production application.
It also strengthened my experience collaborating with other developers on an established product and contributing to both frontend and backend development.

UpSkillfy is an online learning platform built to help people develop practical digital skills and grow their careers.
I worked on this project as a Frontend Developer at Duke Web Tech. My responsibility was to build the frontend from scratch using Vue.js and make sure everything worked properly with the backend.
The platform has three main sections, each designed for a different type of user:
Learners: A dedicated area where students can access and interact with learning content.
Lecturers: A section for lecturers to manage their teaching activities and interact with learners.
Admin: An administrative area for managing and overseeing the platform.
I worked closely with another developer who handled the Laravel backend. My part involved building the user interfaces, connecting them to the backend APIs, and making sure the different parts of the application communicated properly.
What I enjoyed about this project was getting to work on a real product rather than just a standalone website. Building a platform with different user roles gave me practical experience working with more complex frontend structures, reusable components, API integration, and collaboration with another developer.
