Looking back at my project for #ConfigMakeathon, it's amazing to see how an idea evolved from a few sketches in my notebook to a full-blown interactive AR prototype.
Designing the 'AI Arboretum' was a deep dive into botanical intelligence and UI/UX. The biggest challenge was making complex data (like tree age and disease analysis) feel simple and intuitive for everyday users.
Creating for the Makeathon was intense, but the feedback from this community has been the highlight. Whether you're a nature lover or a fellow designer, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how we can use AI to connect more deeply with our environment.
Thank you all for the support during this journey!
AI Arboretum: Botanical Intelligence System
Introducing AI Arboretum – a botanical intelligence system designed to help us reconnect with our urban green spaces.
What is it?
An AR-powered mobile experience that turns a simple walk in the park into an educational journey. By scanning trees, users get instant access to historical data, health status, and ecological impact of our urban giants.
Key features:
✅ AR-based tree detection & scanning.
✅ Historical data (Dendrochronology).
✅ Carbon sequestration & vitality tracking.
This project was a deep dive into "building in public," iterating on designs in Figma, and pushing the boundaries of what a mobile interface can communicate.
