For the #GiveItAGlow challenge, I chose Snowworld Natural Hair Salon in Ibadan a business already known for great natural hair care but relying on manual processes to manage bookings. 📍 Before The customer journey looked like this: Instagram bio link only (no website) Appointments collected through Google Forms ₦3,000 deposit via manual bank transfer Staff manually verified payments before confirming bookings Separate Google Form for apprenticeship applications No automated appointment reminders No centralized dashboard for managing bookings Every booking required manual effort. ✨ After I designed and built a complete digital booking experience with Base44, giving Snowworld a modern platform that works for both customers and business owners. What the new platform includes ✅ Professional website ✅ Complete service catalog with real pricing (20+ services) ✅ Real gallery showcasing their work ✅ Live appointment booking with availability checking ✅ Automatic prevention of double bookings ✅ Instant booking confirmations ✅ Automated appointment reminders ✅ AI assistant trained on their services, pricing, and business hours ✅ Customer review collection after appointments with approved reviews displayed on the homepage ✅ Owner dashboard for managing bookings, tracking revenue, monitoring appointment status, and exporting data The Impact Instead of: ❌ Google Forms ❌ Manual payment verification ❌ Spreadsheet tracking ❌ Back-and-forth customer messages Snowworld now has an automated system that saves time, improves the customer experience, and allows the owner to focus on serving clients instead of managing administrative tasks.
