Asemic Writing System 1-9 Here's a look at the auto-imaginal symbolic process as a form of visual system design. Asemic writing: writing without meaning, where visual systems disintegrate in the face of auto-imaginal gesture. A sketchbook page turned into these symbolic asemic numbers, and I wanted to return to the centred thick stroke to create these skeletal lines. I think the results are almost tribal, with a bit of the alien. Has potential for further pieces or pattern interactions. Some basic colour experimentation in the following slides, it's a joy to see these forms replicate, interact, communicate with one another. What do you think? Could these repetitions represent actual numbers? How big does the scale go?

A spontaneous, auto-imaginal workflow inspired by glitching, the early internet and digital splicing. This week we took one of the lost A Palanvara symbols to create these rave posters for an event titled simply "Me" Live. Endeavouring to let go of conscious thought and "design thinking", we embraced the noise, hiding information in plain sight and rebelling against the clarity of information that advertisements usually place front and centre. Been doing too much overthinking, and want to fill this page with more random, unimportant work. Do you think designers can thrive without order? Tell us what you think!
