I helped a client set up the official WhatsApp Business API using Twilio and Meta Business Manager so they could automate communication with customers.
The goal was to create a stable WhatsApp messaging system that could later support automation, CRM integrations, and AI chatbots.
First, I configured the Meta Business environment and verified the business account. After that, I connected the WhatsApp phone number to Twilio and completed the API integration inside the WhatsApp Manager.
Once the connection was established, I tested the messaging environment and confirmed that the system could send and receive messages properly through the WhatsApp API.
This setup allows the client to build advanced automations such as:
• AI WhatsApp chatbots
• Automated lead capture
• CRM integrations
• Marketing message campaigns
• Customer support automation
The final result was a fully connected WhatsApp API infrastructure ready for automation workflows using tools like n8n and other AI systems.

ACTIVIN is an intelligent WhatsApp chatbot built for MINDEP — the Chilean Ministry of Sport — to handle thousands of participant inquiries for the Semana del Deporte 2026 running event across all 16 regions of Chile.
The client needed a solution that could automatically respond to questions about registration, kit pickup locations, race routes, event schedules and regional information — 24/7 without human intervention.
We built the entire system using n8n for workflow automation, Twilio for WhatsApp messaging, OpenAI GPT-4o as the AI brain, and Google Sheets as a live knowledge base that the client can update autonomously at any time.
