🏆 Kittl Challenge (https://contra.com/community/topic/kittlchallenge?r=kristine_vilnite) is starting soon!! I used reviving my YT channel ⚡ as an excuse to test this AI Design platform. Although the tool is packed with cool AI features, I started with its core design functionality. 🎬 In this 3min speed-run video you get a quick look at Kittl's UI/UX that is incredibly intuitive and familiar. There are tons of great templates, mockups, fonts, and objects to explore. My favourite so far: Textures 🫠 Looking forward to diving into Kittl's AI features during the Challenge. 🔥

My Figma Make project Observer Effect (https://unity-export-09307871.figma.site/) 👀✨ uses eye-tracking to show how observation turns into activation, and follows my fascination with Quantum Theory. I built the prototype simply by chatting with Figma Make AI, starting with a broad idea and iterating with a few of my own Figma UI references until a mind-blowing digital experience was ready to play with. This can easily become an art installation unfolding a whole story lines through interactive observation. Observer observing the observed. Lenticular postcards are my all time favourites. 🫠 Here’s my take on a digital lenticular postcard built with Spline Hana. The concept has layers with subtle depth, 3D motion, Liquid glass effect and perspective distortion to recreate that nostalgic analog effect, but in an interactive, modern way. // Lingr App Preview Bubble native mobile apps don't have public preview link so here's a walkthrough of the latest state of my private events app. It's an idea I worked on back in 2017 for nearly a year until I ran out of time / money. In addition to that I’ve been data binding and designing transitions. Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve happily pulled all-nighters. Seeing this app come together in a matter of days is the kind of story I’d love to tell my 10y younger self.

// Phase 1/2 tbt: It’s 2017. I’m in San Francisco, at 500 Startups office. Everyone’s building something, so am I. I’m working on an app meant to replace Eventbrite + Facebook for private community events. The business model is simple: take a small % from ticket sales. I’m prototyping the app (in PP), wire-framing, writing specs (in GDoc), and meeting community organisers, all while doing the School42 program where I'm learning to code. I gather ~10k early users and have a developer who’s helping to build the app in React Native. I bootstrap for almost a year. I can’t code the app myself fast enough, and I can’t afford the dev. The project dies. // It’s 2026. I’m in Riga, in my home office, pulling up the files from 2017 to see what (time & money) it takes to build that app with no-code AI tools we have today.

Now, at the end of the year, I get to revisit wonders of my life. 🥹 I definitely recommend, and will continue this ritual. More so, for 2026 I've created a very simple app to help me make notes of wonderful moments anywhere at anytime, store it in a (digital) jar, and reveal them for me on 31st Dec, 2026.
