A skill I had to learn recently is talking to the camera with doing something with my hands.

I’ve had brands ask me, as well and other creators, to do this to increase viewer retention because of today’s lower average attention spans.

Are screenshots back in?

Back in 2023, showing your hand interacting with an app and having a lot of b-roll was the only way to do it.

Screenshots + screen recordings were looked down upon.

Fast-forward 2025-26, they’re doing great, especially for demonstrating proof to skeptic viewers and holding attention

Stop making tech niche ads that look like tech ads. Face-to-Camera storytelling works better for software than just a generic walkthrough
