What we built SnapBook — a booking app for Luma & Lens Photography, a solo editorial wedding photographer in Lagos, Nigeria. It has two sides: a public booking flow where couples check a date, build their quote, and hold a date themselves in under two minutes, and an owner workspace where Tobi (the photographer) sees every inquiry, active date holds with live countdowns, confirmed weddings, and her availability calendar — working from her phone between shoots. Why we built it Luma & Lens has a very believable problem. She's shooting 10-hour weddings Friday through Sunday and literally cannot reply to messages while working. Meanwhile, every inquiry looks the same: "Hi, are you available June 14th? How much do you charge?" Before SnapBook, that meant a 3–5 message back-and-forth just to check one date, then sending the pricing brochure again, then chasing the couple to actually commit — and some of them went cold or double-booked her weekend mentally before she ever confirmed. What changed (the before/after) Before: Couple messages Tobi → she replies hours later between shoots → quotes prices → waits → follows up → books (or loses them). Owner effort: days of fragmented WhatsApp admin. After: Couple opens the link → sees live availability → picks their ceremony type, coverage, and guest band → gets an instant, upfront price in Naira → holds their date with a 24-hour reservation — no message to Tobi required. She opens the dashboard, sees the inquiry with full wedding details, and confirms. Owner effort: minutes.
