I created a Nutrition Tracker with OCR so I can snap a photo of a package and extract it's details! I always have trouble with MyFitnessPal or other product databases because they will invariably not have something I'm eating. Well, this is a nice companion feature to fix that.
With some soldering, 3D printing, and hot glue, the first prototype for the furnace monitor has been born. I blasted it at 130°F for twentyish minutes no issue, and the UI kept up and looked great. This will go out for some field testing and if it works, the next step is sizing it down and getting manufacturing going 🤠
