Encore is a conversation starter card deck created for students. I created this project for my 2026 Bachelor of Design Thesis Project. The card deck has four levels of intensity of questions, starting with lighter ice breaking questions to deeper connection building questions. This card deck serves as an amazing starting point for first year students to build connections with their peers through real life interaction. The questions serve as a starting ground for building connections and friendships from scratch. Through the research process it was deduced that the cards helped break the quietness and awkwardness of meeting someone for the first time. The cards help users find common ground, to learn and discover about their peers and build a genuine and deep connection.
