Cover image for Just when I was about
Just when I was about to submit my project for the Lovable Challenge, I thought of an important detail that many miss: business owners need peace of mind. They don't want to have to contact you just to change their logo or update a gallery image; they want the freedom to change those things themselves. So, why not create a custom dashboard where they can log in and update simple things as they please? I also added some additional features to the dashboard: • Adding worker profiles • Creating custom customer profiles • Keeping updated on recent projects via phone notifications And it only took me five minutes! I literally had this idea 10 minutes before my submission time, and I pulled it off. You've gotta try this.

Cover image for So in my last update,
So in my last update, I shared my strategy on building anti-slop websites in Lovable for a local business, and I chose a roofing business to demonstrate it. I have to say, I am impressed by Lovable. I had to do very minimal adjustment and planning in Lovable to produce this website. At first glance, you might think this is a custom-made website by a high-quality, big agency, but it's not. It was made by a single person like me. You have to give it to the design it produces consistently. It is also very well-structured and has great mobile responsiveness. But the designs are not the only thing that a small business owner might care about. They care about user experience and search engine optimization, which I made sure Lovable didn't mess up. For that, I had to give a detailed prompt of which sections it should have and which pages it should build. For example, I built a specific service page, and within that service page, I built individual pages for each service. I also built a location page, where each location has a separate page optimized around a keyword. The meta descriptions and everything else were fully instructed, and Lovable did it perfectly. I'm gonna make my submission soon, so ask me anything if you have any questions in mind.

Cover image for Using AI builders for creating
Using AI builders for creating good and high-ranking websites is challenging, because the AI guesses too much. And if the website is for a local business, then AI guesses produce AI slop, which results in poor user experience and, most importantly, bad SEO performance, which hurts the business even more in the long run. Since I'm in the Lovable Challenge, I want to share my strategy to overcome these challenges and discrepancies. It's actually very simple: you create a full, strategic guideline for Lovable so that it doesn't have to guess what things to do and what things to avoid. Instead, you give it the idea. You can use Claude or any research model for extensive SEO and market research around that business, and create: • A complete sitemap of their website • The SEO checklists that have to be done To make sure the design doesn't seem like every other purple and Inter-fonted AI slop, you have to pick or design a specific design system for Lovable. You can do it by designing it yourself, or you can do what I did: go over to the Figma community and select a template you like. I just took screenshots of different sections of the homepage, fed them to Lovable, and asked it to take inspiration from those designs to create the elements and structure of the overall website. Boom. It produced a masterpiece that I'm going to share with you in my next update!
