District Aquarium: A Living Interface for Complex Systems
District Aquarium reimagines data dashboards as living ecosystems.
Instead of charts and static reports, complex systems are visualized as dynamic environments where data literally breathes. Each student is represented as a fish. Progress affects movement, brightness, and depth. System-wide trends influence water clarity and ecosystem health.
Built entirely in Figma Make, this project explores how metaphor-driven interfaces can transform how we interpret complex information. Originally inspired by education systems, the concept can extend beyond schools. Any organization, product, or team could visualize performance as a reactive ecosystem.

I built After the Bell, a quiet end-of-year reflection on the lessons students learn beyond the curriculum.
Basically, it's Teaching Wrapped, but instead of flashy, it's a minimalist experience for educators to reflect on the “hidden curriculum”, the unplanned lessons students learn about authority, belonging, safety, and voice, and turns reflection into a quiet artifact.

IEP Snapshot helps special educators quickly summarize complex IEP documents and share with classroom teachers and families.
IEPs are written to be legally defensible, not easy to read. As a result, critical information is often buried in dense language that slows collaboration.
IEP Snapshot acts as a professional translation layer, providing:
• A structured student snapshot
• Clear summaries of goals, services, and accommodations
• Plain-language explanations
• Supportive flags highlighting areas that may need review
• A shareable, family-friendly export
Privacy is a core design principle. Users can enable Privacy Mode to prevent raw IEP text from being stored while still retaining structured summaries.
