MindMirror is a privacy-first AI journaling product designed to turn scattered personal reflections into useful, longitudinal insights. Instead of treating every journal entry as an isolated conversation, it uses Google Gemini to help users unpack thoughts in real time, summarize reflections, identify recurring themes and moods, and synthesize patterns across their history. Built with Next.js 15, React, Tailwind CSS, Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Google Gemini, MindMirror was engineered as a real production application rather than a simple AI demo. AI execution stays server-side, user records are strictly isolated with owner-bound Firestore security rules, inputs are defensively bounded and sanitized, and the AI layer includes model fallbacks for resilience. The result is an experience that combines thoughtful AI interaction with privacy, reliability, and a polished consumer-product UX.
