At Ballet Tucson, their dancing reflects not only the hard work they've put in on ballet technique, but also the culture and community around them. This article was written to highlight the premier of a piece entitled "Barrio Viejo," serving as an ode to Lalo Guerrero, a Tucson native. I dove into the history of Barrio Viejo and what it means to the Tucson community. After speaking with his son, Dan Guerrero, and the creators of this show, I personally felt even closer to the artistic community of Tucson. With the rise of social media like TikTok, Instagram, and more, people are beginning to not only see, but anticipate concert sets before they step foot into the arena. In this multimedia audio & written article, I dove into just how much people saw the "Sweat" tour with Troye Sivan and Charlie XCX before they went to the show-- and how it affected their experience.

As a writer at Arizona Arts, I had the privilege of getting to know a variety of artists around the Tucson area. Through this article, I talked to poet Nagasriya Ramisetty, a student at the University of Arizona. I used my writing to highlight her poetry collection entitled "bit-ter-sweet," a collection of work aimed to address mental health stigma among the Asian American community. This piece was especially meaningful to write, allowing me to capture the nuance of art work as beautiful as hers with meaning that goes beyond just the surface.

I sat down with documentarians Ted Sallee, Jason Sikorsky and Atreyu Hasenstab to take a closer look into their film "Going Postal: The Legacy Foretold.” In this long-form article, I formulated a historical deep-dive of the game company, received insight from the filmmakers and game producers, and ultimately uncovered what this documentary seeks to explain to its viewers.
