π Client TOI Youth, the youth ministry of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), a faith-based community organization dedicated to engaging young people through programs, events, and purposeful content. β¨ Project Overview TOI Youth hosted Matrimoney, a program centered on the intersection of marriage, money, and real-life relationships. Topics that young adults rarely get honest, unfiltered conversations about in a church setting. I was brought in to both shoot and edit the long-form vox-pop content captured at the event, turning raw, candid street-interview-style footage into a polished, engaging video that matched both the energy of the program and the authenticity of the conversations. The goal was simple but demanding: make it feel real without feeling rough. π― The Goal TOI Youth wanted to: Capture the genuine voices and opinions of random people on the street about marriage and finances Produce content that felt culturally relevant and honest, not stiff or overly "churchy" Create a long-form piece that held attention from start to finish Reflect the tone of the Matrimoney program. Serious topics, delivered with personality. π§ The Challenge Vox-pop content lives or dies in the edit. The raw material is always unpredictable. Varying audio quality, inconsistent lighting, answers of different lengths, and the constant challenge of keeping a viewer engaged across a long-form runtime without a scripted narrative to lean on. The additional layer here was tone. This was church content, but it wasn't meant to feel sanitized. The audience who are young adults needed to see themselves in it. Too formal, and it loses them. Too loose, and it doesn't serve the ministry. Threading that needle in the edit was the real challenge. π οΈ My Role Working from the raw vox-pop footage, I handled the full editing process: π¬ Structural assembly β Organizing responses into a coherent, engaging flow βοΈ Pacing and rhythm β Trimming for attention retention across a long-form runtime ποΈ Audio cleanup and leveling across multiple speakers and environments π¨ Color grading to create visual consistency across varied shooting conditions π Sequencing β Grouping perspectives to build conversation and contrast, not just string clips together π¦ Deliverables One polished long-form vox-pop video for the Matrimoney program Edit structured for full audience engagement from open to close Final delivery optimized for digital distribution across the ministry's platforms π Results The final video delivered what vox-pop content is supposed to: the feeling that you're hearing real people, not a curated narrative. Responses flowed naturally, the pacing kept viewers watching, and the edit gave the Matrimoney program a content asset that extended the conversation beyond the event itself. For a youth ministry tackling topics like money and marriage, that kind of authentic, watchable content builds trust and not just views. π What I Brought to the Table β Long-form editing discipline, through structure, pacing, and retention across extended runtime β Sensitivity to tone by balancing faith-based context with authentic, youth-relevant energy β Clean audio and visual consistency from unpredictable raw footage β Story instinct. Knowing which voices and moments to lead with, hold on, and cut π‘ Why This Matters Not every video project is about going viral. Sometimes the goal is to make a community feel seen, to extend the life of an important conversation, and to give an event a lasting record that people actually want to watch. If you're a church, nonprofit, or community organization producing event content, I understand how to handle real voices with care and turn unscripted moments into something worth sharing.

π Client Brad Sugars is an entrepreneur, author, and founder of ActionCOACH, known for helping business owners improve profitability, leadership, and growth through practical business education. β¨ Project Overview I edited a series of short-form videos from one of Brad Sugars' podcast episodes, transforming long-form business conversations into concise, high-retention social content. The goal was to extract the most valuable insights and package them into engaging clips designed for modern audiences. Through strategic pacing, dynamic captions, motion graphics, and social-first editing techniques, the content was optimized to stop the scroll while delivering actionable business advice. Rather than simply trimming a podcast, the focus was identifying moments that could stand alone as compelling content and provide immediate value to viewers. π― The Goal Brad wanted to: Repurpose long-form podcast content into short-form assets Increase reach across social media platforms Deliver valuable business insights in a concise format Improve audience retention and engagement Create content that appeals to entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals π§ The Challenge Podcast conversations are designed for long-form consumption, but social media rewards speed and clarity. The challenge was finding the strongest moments within a much larger conversation and restructuring them into clips that could capture attention within seconds. Every edit needed to preserve the depth of the original message while removing anything that slowed momentum. The content had to feel educational without becoming overly corporate, and engaging without sacrificing credibility. π οΈ My Role I handled the post-production and creative editing process, including: ποΈ Short-form content editing βοΈ Podcast clipping and content selection π Dynamic captions and text animations β‘ Retention-focused pacing and structure π¨ Motion graphics and visual enhancements π± Optimization for TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts The focus was turning valuable podcast insights into content that performs natively on social platforms. π¦ Deliverables Short-form podcast clips Social-ready vertical videos Captioned business content Motion graphic enhancements Platform-optimized exports π What I Brought to the Table β Strong understanding of short-form content strategy β High-retention editing techniques β Strategic selection of podcast moments β Professional caption design and motion graphics β Business-focused storytelling β Social-native pacing and structure π‘ Why This Matters Most podcasts contain valuable insights, but very little of that value gets discovered unless it's repackaged effectively. This project focused on transforming long-form expertise into short-form content that captures attention, delivers value quickly, and encourages audiences to engage with the broader brand and message.

MTV is an iconic entertainment brand recognized globally for music culture, youth-focused content, and bold visual identity. β¨ Project Overview I created a stylized logo animation for MTV inspired by retro broadcast aesthetics, digital distortion, and MTVβs rebellious visual culture. The animation combines warped grid environments, glitch effects, RGB separation, and analog-inspired motion to recreate the raw energy associated with classic music television branding. The goal was to make the logo feel alive inside a distorted digital space rather than simply revealing it on screen. The final piece leans heavily into nostalgia while still feeling modern, graphic, and visually aggressive. π― The Goal Create a visually striking animated logo reveal Capture the edgy, experimental energy associated with the MTV brand Blend retro broadcast aesthetics with modern motion design Build a short-form branded animation optimized for digital platforms Deliver a bold, instantly recognizable visual identity piece π§ The Challenge The biggest challenge was balancing chaos with clarity. Glitch-heavy animations can quickly become visually noisy, so the motion had to feel intentional rather than random. The distortion effects, RGB splitting, and warped perspective all needed to enhance the identity of the logo instead of distracting from it. The pacing also had to reflect MTVβs energetic personality while maintaining a clean final reveal. π οΈ My Role I handled the full creative execution of the animation, including: π¬ Logo animation and motion design πΊ Retro broadcast and glitch-inspired visual direction β‘ RGB distortion and analog-style transitions π Warped grid environment design π¨ Typography and logo reveal timing π± Social-first formatting and delivery The focus was creating an animation that feels loud, nostalgic, and unmistakably connected to MTVβs visual culture. π¦ Deliverables Main logo animation Social-ready promotional version Glitch and distortion motion graphics Platform-ready delivery files π What I Brought to the Table β Retro-inspired motion design β Strong glitch animation techniques β Music-culture-driven visual direction β High-energy pacing and transitions β Clean logo reveal structure β Bold, recognizable brand presentation π‘ Why This Matters MTV has always been more than a logo, itβs a visual attitude. This animation was designed to reflect that identity through distortion, motion, and raw energy while keeping the final reveal clean, memorable, and instantly recognizable.

Adidas is a global sportswear brand known for performance innovation, culture-driven campaigns, and athlete-focused storytelling. β¨ Project Overview I created a product-focused motion piece for adidas built around their βYou Got Thisβ campaign message. The animation combines bold typography, fast-paced motion, and clean product presentation to reinforce confidence, movement, and performance. The visual direction was intentionally minimal and high-contrast, allowing the shoe and campaign message to remain the hero throughout the piece. Rather than relying on heavy effects, the focus was creating smooth, energetic motion that feels modern, motivational, and unmistakably adidas. π― The Goal Showcase the shoe in a clean, premium way Reinforce the βYou Got Thisβ campaign message visually Create short-form content optimized for digital and social platforms Blend typography, motion, and product visuals into a cohesive branded piece Deliver an energetic but minimal sportswear aesthetic π§ The Challenge The biggest challenge was balancing simplicity with energy. The animation needed to feel dynamic without overcrowding the screen or distracting from the product itself. Since the concept relied heavily on repetition, typography, and clean composition, timing and pacing became extremely important. Every movement had to feel intentional, controlled, and aligned with the confidence-driven tone of the campaign. π οΈ My Role π¬ Product animation and motion design π€ Typography animation built around the βYou Got Thisβ tagline β‘ Fast-paced transitions and timing π¨ Minimal visual styling and composition The focus was creating a clean, high-energy animation that communicates confidence through motion rather than overcomplication. π¦ Deliverables Main product animation Motion graphic and typography integration Platform-ready exports π What I Brought to the Table β Clean, premium motion design β Strong typography-based animation β Sportswear-focused visual direction β Social-native pacing and retention β Minimal but impactful composition β Brand-aligned storytelling through motion π‘ Why This Matters Modern sportswear campaigns thrive on clarity, confidence, and energy. This project was designed to communicate all three through a simple but visually engaging animation that keeps the focus on both the product and the mindset behind the βYou Got Thisβ message.
