Lurve — From GoDaddy to Shopify Rebuilding a natural skincare brand’s e-commerce experience on Shopify Lurve is a natural skincare and essential oils brand focused on premium, natural products for everyday wellness. The brand needed a more capable e-commerce platform to support its online store and provide a better foundation for future growth. I migrated and rebuilt the website from GoDaddy to Shopify, bringing the existing brand experience into a purpose-built e-commerce environment. The Challenge Lurve's existing website was running on GoDaddy, which limited the flexibility of the brand's e-commerce experience. The goal was to move to Shopify without losing the existing brand identity while creating a storefront that was easier to manage, more scalable, and better suited for online retail. The migration needed to cover more than simply moving content. The existing website had to be translated into a functional Shopify storefront while maintaining the overall customer experience. The Approach I approached the project as a full storefront migration rather than a simple platform transfer. I first mapped the existing website structure and identified the key pages and e-commerce elements that needed to be carried over. I then rebuilt the experience within Shopify and adapted the structure to work naturally with Shopify's product, collection, cart, and checkout ecosystem. The focus was on keeping the experience familiar to existing customers while giving Lurve a stronger technical foundation behind the scenes. What I Delivered GoDaddy → Shopify Migration Moved the existing website experience into Shopify and established the new storefront structure. Shopify Store Development Rebuilt the storefront using Shopify's theme architecture and adapted the existing design and content for the platform. E-commerce Setup Implemented the core shopping experience, including products, collections, navigation, cart, and customer-facing store functionality. Responsive Development Ensured the storefront worked smoothly across desktop and mobile devices. Store Structure Organized the site's pages and navigation to create a clear path from discovery to product browsing and purchase. QA & Testing Tested the storefront across key pages and interactions to ensure the new Shopify implementation was functioning correctly before launch. The Result Lurve successfully moved from its previous GoDaddy setup to a dedicated Shopify storefront. The new platform gives the brand a more flexible foundation for managing its products and e-commerce operations, while maintaining the natural, premium positioning of the Lurve brand. The result is a Shopify store that is easier to manage, easier to expand, and built specifically around the needs of a growing DTC brand.
