Prose poetry on Reflection and emotional resilience
Cinders:
Some day, I hope to leave the battlefield, wave a white flag, and choose to stop for a second,
Let the breeze run through my hair,
Hoping it smells like a meadow instead of a bloodbath,
Hoping I’ll feel calm enough to say, I am not afraid to take a step back and not panic.
