For the longest time in my career, I had a boring CV and a portfolio with no link. Crazy, right? 😂 I had the experience. I had the work. I had 10+ years of design experience. But when someone asked: “Can I see your portfolio?” I had to start sending files, images, links from different places and explanations. I finally decided to do something about it. So I took the time to build a proper CV + Portfolio experience with a single link, something that doesn't just show my work, but actually tells people who I am, what I do, what I've worked on and how they can hire me. I'm not claiming it's perfect. But I built it intentionally, and I'm genuinely curious about what another designer, creative director, recruiter or potential client thinks. So I need your honest review. A client reached out to me last week to design ads for his new book, “Before You Pay That Rent.” He had already tried using AI to create the book cover and promotional design. The result? Zero clicks. Zero purchases. So I went back to the drawing board. Instead of just making another “beautiful” design, I researched the real struggles Nigerian tenants face, crazy rent increases, hidden charges, greedy agents, landlord wahala, and the painful mistakes people make before paying for a house. Then I developed 4 different ad copy concepts designed to stop a Nigerian tenant mid-scroll and make them think: “Wait… this is exactly what I’m going through.” After that, I turned each concept into a visual ad.
