I built a small game for designers called TapTrap. It’s inspired by those old school “Tricky IQ Test” games, but redesigned for people who obsess over alignment and argue about hex codes for fun. I actually started building it before scripting was available in Rive, so most of the timers were powered by events and some pretty tangled state machines. When scripting finally came out, it helped me clean things up and make the whole thing work the way I had imagined. It still needs some polishing and love, but I just could not keep this hidden any longer.

had some fun designing this animation for teenage engineering's tp-7. it is not at all focused on showing how it works, but how it feels to capture a memory. it's really great to understand what a product can really get you in terms of experience, other than its basic functionality. i aim to reach the point where technology fades and emotion becomes the protagonist.

i tried giving this simple squircle a soul. not through complex animations, but by connecting it to your movements. creating a living presence that accompanies your journey through my work. it's about that subtle moment when digital elements become companions in your exploration. when you realize you're not just viewing a portfolio, but experiencing it. the squircle breathes, responds, and invites, transforming from passive container to active participant in our shared digital space. what if every element in our digital worlds felt this alive? try it out here (https://ferrarioluca.com/work)

i worked a lot on interactions recently. i found myself diving into the user experience rabbit hole, slowly letting go of metrics and performance to move closer to emotion and lived experience. right now, that matters more to me than data ever did. an emotion will always stick with the user 100x longer than a number ever will. these are just two small interaction feedbacks. tiny details, but they completely change how a product feels.

i used some free time to rethink the “work” section of my portfolio. the goal wasn’t clarity through structure, but meaning through experience. you’re meant to get lost, navigate without references, and feel what each screen evokes when observed carefully. get lost at https://ferrarioluca.com/work 💫
