I created what turned out to be a very late entry into last month's "Runway — Pitch Contest for Shows That Don't Exist Yet". I wasn't selected, but that's not really what stayed with me. Sometimes the real win is showing up, following the idea, and putting something into the world that didn't exist before. I wrote the script, directed the voiceover, and built every scene myself with animated iMessage bubbles, browser mockups, and a build-timeline sequence set to an original music bed in a teal-and-purple brand palette. Built entirely in code using React, Framer Motion, GSAP, and Three.js with no video editing software, ElevenLabs for the voiceover, and a custom-composed music track.

Oneacc Consulting — Giving a Solo Tax Practitioner a Real Online Presence My brother inlaw runs Oneacc Consulting, a tax and accounting consulting business in Johannesburg — solo, no employees, built entirely on word-of-mouth referrals. He had no website and handled every enquiry manually by phone. The Product: A fully designed, mobile-responsive multi-page website built in Base44 (Home, Services, About, Contact) — premium corporate aesthetic with alternating navy/light sections, his real brand colors and logo, and copy tailored to his actual service offering: corporate & individual tax, VAT, employees' tax, tax consulting & compliance, tax dispute resolution, and accounting advisory. The Automation: Two layers working together — Lead capture: "Book a Free Consultation" and "Request a Quote" forms trigger an automatic email to him plus a confirmation email to the client, so no enquiry gets missed while he's working solo. AI Superagent: A chatbot answers common questions about services, required documents, and general SARS deadlines, then routes anything specific to a consultation booking — extending his availability beyond business hours without giving binding tax advice. The Impact: A one-person practice now has a professional online front door and a system that captures and responds to leads automatically — freeing up time he'd otherwise spend on manual admin, for a business that's growing purely on reputation. hi!, So for the Wonder challenge I built a glass terrarium that mirrors the actual weather outside — moss when it's cloudy, water ripples when it rains, embers when it's clear, frost when it's cold. It's grown out of a piece of driftwood, hand-blown look and all, and it's presented like a page out of a naturalist's field journal rather than another app with buttons. The whole thing started in Wonder Chat, just describing the scene until it looked right. The shader work is honestly what sold me on Wonder — I could try a moss texture, decide it looked flat, and push for depth and color variation in one more prompt instead of starting over. Same for the water, the embers, the frost. The idea almost stayed as "four pretty pictures you click through," which felt pointless once I said it out loud. It became a real thing once I hooked it up to live weather — now it's not decoration, it's actually checking the sky. I connected Wonder to my codebase through MCP (via Cursor) so it could pull my exported jar images straight into the working app, which saved me from manually downloading and re-uploading four separate files at 4am :0 It's small, but it's the first thing I've built in a while that I'd genuinely want to keep open on my desktop.
