XOYA founder Dean R. approached me to design the future elements of XOYA's brand identity and add to the existing visuals that resonate with their Hanoi-based audience.
XOYA's focus is on broadening the conversation around the de-colonisation of electronic music and taking an intersectional approach to uplifting the party community.
XOYA TAKEOVER was particularly special, as it drew inspiration from matriarchal societies around the world. Particularly the Mosou group in China.
With a mix of local and international talent, the takeover features female DJs as the headliners, to showcase their talent, and draw attention to oft-overlooked topics in the party community.
According to the founder, the event was well-attended with a 35% increase in tickets purchased online. Most tickets were bought at the door, which is still common in Hanoi.
