HomelyCanvas: Building a Niche Blog from Scratch What HomelyCanvas Taught Međ I created HomelyCanvas (https://homelycanvas.org/)to answer a specific question: Can you rank for competitive home decor keywords without overwhelming readers with advice? The answer was yes. But only if you obsess over three things: đ„ what your audience actually searches for, đ„ how your site is organized, and đ„ whether readers can find what they need without getting lost. Most content sites fail at one of these. HomelyCanvas doesn't. How I Built It: đ§ -> Content: I researched real search queries, wrote long-form articles that answered them directly, and edited ruthlessly to remove fluff. -> Site Structure: I organized internal links and navigation, so readers move through the site naturally, with no confusion or dead ends. -> WordPress: I set up plugins, redesigned sections, and maintained the site to keep it fast and functional. What This Means for You: đ Content that converts: I plan topics around what your audience actually searches for, not what sounds good in a pitch. A site that doesn't feel like a maze: Clear navigation, logical structure, readers know where to go next. WordPress that doesn't break: Setup, formatting, publishing, plugin management handled so you don't have to think about it.

FREELANCE AUDITđ Introduction Hi! I'm Sara, a freelance digital marketing specialist, SEO expert, and content strategist. I take the guesswork out of search engine visibility and content creation. You grow your traffic organically. No overwhelm. The Problem Mission Inbox had 2,700+ monthly visitors but almost no conversions. On the surface, it looked like a traffic problem. It wasn't. They were ranking for the wrong keywords, attracting visitors who would never buy. What I Did I audited their SEO and competition to figure out exactly which keywords were broken. Then I built a 90-day roadmap to fix it. You can explore my work below: https://sarataskeen.notion.site/Strategic-SEO-audit-for-Mission-Inbox-36404c15406781f99b10cf54e99fa92a

Reddit Engagement Strategy for Survey App
1

Case study 1: Survey app organic promotion The Challenge Survey subreddits are among the most strictly moderated communities on Reddit. Direct links, app name-drops, and anything that smells promotional gets removed instantly â and moderators have seen every trick in the book. On top of that, years of scammy survey apps and fake earning claims have made these communities deeply skeptical of anything new. The app needed real visibility in the US and EU, but there were zero existing Reddit discussions about it and no established trust. Traditional promotion would have meant instant bans. The only path forward was to earn credibility before ever asking for it. What We Did Instead of promoting the app, we made ourselves genuinely useful. We created posts answering real questions: how survey apps actually work, what realistic earnings look like, and how to spot scams. We shared real data, honest stats, and personal insights â and we openly acknowledged competitor apps, which built instant credibility with an audience trained to distrust anything one-sided. The strategy was credibility first, always. We participated in discussions, gave practical advice, and only introduced the app when the context made it feel natural. Mentions were subtle, backed by proof, and carefully aligned with each subreddit's rules. Over time, link drops and app references stopped feeling promotional â they felt like recommendations from a trusted community member. The Results 700+ website redirects, predominantly from US and EU users â the exact markets that mattered Posts consistently hit 1%+ engagement rates in communities where most brand content gets zero traction 1M total post views with 4,100+ upvotes from a highly skeptical audience 50+ inbound DMs from users genuinely interested in the app and the survey space 56 new Reddit followers gained organically â no incentives, no gimmicks Went from zero presence to ranking on Google's first page, with Reddit threads appearing directly after the app's own site AI overviews now pull our Reddit threads ahead of other platforms when summarising the app Posts and comments continue driving traffic well after the 90-day campaign ended, creating a compounding brand presence that keeps working Became a top contributing member across multiple subreddits with zero moderation issues â in communities that routinely ban brand accounts on sight

B2B SaaS Conversion Copywriter | Fixing Messaging Leaks

The interesting part here wasn't rewriting the page. It was figuring out where the funnel was actually losing people. I mapped a fictional B2B SaaS funnel from the landing page through trial-to-paid and looked at what could be causing friction at each step. The main issue I found was on the landing page: the product made sense, but the buyer's actual situation and reason to act weren't coming through clearly enough. I then worked backwards from that diagnosis and showed what I'd change in the messaging, rather than rewriting the page just to make it sound better.

The interesting part of this SaaS flow wasn't the signup. It was everything that happened after it. This fictional B2B SaaS flow had two very different problems: some users weren't reaching meaningful product value, while others had reached it but still weren't ready to pay. I separated those two states and built the messaging around what each user actually needed next, getting to value first, then understanding and evaluating the paid product.

I worked through a fictional B2B SaaS homepage where the product was clear, but the reason to choose it wasn't. The page was making familiar category-level claims around forecasting, visibility, and AI. The bigger issue was that a high-intent buyer could understand the product without seeing what made its approach worth considering. I focused the messaging around the buyer's situation, the product's value mechanism, differentiation, proof, and the next decision the page needed to support.

The tricky part wasn't writing more lifecycle emails. It was figuring out what each user actually needed next. This fictional B2B SaaS example looks at what happens after the first useful product experience, how users move toward deeper adoption, where momentum can fade, and when a re-engagement message actually makes sense. I mapped the lifecycle around user states and built the messaging around the transition from one state to the next, rather than treating every email as a separate campaign.
