This project demonstrates my ability to build modern business websites that combine aesthetics, performance, and usability. VON Stone: a stone showroom you can walk through on screen
Picking a marble slab is usually a physical thing. You walk the showroom, run your hand over the veining and try to picture it in your kitchen. VON Stone tries to bring that experience to a website.
It’s a portfolio site for a fictional marble and natural stone studio, built so browsing feels calm, premium and easy.
How it works
- Browse like a showroom. Stones are grouped into collections, and you can filter by colour. If you want something warm and white, you get only warm whites.
- Look closely. Each stone has its own page with a gallery, so you can study the texture before you commit.
- See it in a real room. A dedicated section shows the stones in finished spaces, which is the step most people find hardest to imagine.
- Ask about it. A simple enquiry form turns that interest into a conversation with the studio.
Behind the scenes
The owner manages the whole catalogue through Payload CMS. Adding a new stone, swapping photos or updating a collection doesn’t need a developer.
Built with Next.js, Payload CMS, MongoDB, GSAP and Cloudinary.
The polish matters, but the real aim is to give a stone business an easy way to show its products, keep them up to date and help customers decide.
