AI can build a website in minutes. But can it help you manage and grow it? I want to share a real experience from one of my projects because it changed the way I look at AI and website development. A client contacted me because she wanted a food blog website. She shared all her requirements with me. I told her I would first create a demo. Once she approved the design, we would build the actual website and functionality around it in her WordPress website. I created the demo using Google AI Studio and sent her the link. She loved it immediately and said, “I really like it. Proceed with this one.” Then she asked how I made the demo so quickly. I told her I used Google AI Studio. After that, she stopped replying. I followed up twice but got no response, so I assumed she wanted to try building it herself. About two weeks later, she came back but this time she was very frustrated. She had spent money on AI credits, connected her domain and recreated almost the exact same website. The design looked good but actually managing the website was becoming a problem. She was spending hours giving prompts to AI just to make small changes. Even adding or editing a food post was taking much longer than it should. So I rebuilt the same design in WordPress using Elementor and custom code where needed. I kept the design she liked but built the structure around how she would actually use the website. Now she can simply go to Posts → Add New, add her recipe, upload images and publish it. She can keep adding content without depending on AI every time she wants to make an update. SEO was also important because a food blog needs a proper content structure as it grows. Posts, categories and pages need to be organized properly so search engines can understand and discover the content. After everything was set up, she used the website and felt completely relieved. She thanked me several times and even apologized for not listening to me the first time. And honestly, I don't blame her. AI is incredibly powerful. I used it myself to create the demo much faster than I could have built it manually. But this project reminded me that creating a website and building a website that can actually grow are two different things. AI can create a great first version very quickly. But content management, scalability, SEO and the everyday experience of the person running the website still need proper thinking. AI helped me create the idea faster. Human experience helped turn it into something the client could actually manage and grow. That's my experience from this project. 𝐔𝐩𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫 - 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 Upstage Footwear is an online footwear store specializing in dance shoes for men and women along with accessories, exclusive products and sale items. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 The existing website had become difficult to maintain and was no longer performing as it should. It was built on an older theme using the Redux Framework which had become outdated and was no longer receiving the updates needed to keep the setup reliable. Over time, this contributed to performance issues, lagging and problems with the website's overall structure. Rather than continuing to patch the same issues, I recommended replacing the outdated theme with a cleaner and more flexible foundation. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐃𝐢𝐝 After reviewing the existing setup, I recommended rebuilding the website using Hello Elementor theme and Elementor page builder. The client approved the approach and I redesigned and rebuilt the website around the store's existing e-commerce requirements. 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 Reworked the website structure and redesigned key pages and sections to create a cleaner and more modern experience for the e-commerce store. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 Replaced the outdated Redux Framework-based theme with Hello Elementor giving the website a more flexible foundation for future development. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 & 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Rebuilt the website while maintaining the existing product structure and core e-commerce functionality required to run the store. 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Addressed issues associated with the outdated setup and improved the overall website structure, usability and maintainability. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Reworked the website across desktop, tablet and mobile to provide a more consistent experience on different screen sizes. 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 The new setup made it easier for the client to manage the website, make changes and continue improving the store without being tied to the limitations of the old theme. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 - Outdated Theme Replaced - Cleaner WordPress Foundation - Improved Website Structure - Better Conversions - Better Maintainability - More Enquiries The client was very happy with the result. What started as a website that had become difficult to maintain turned into a cleaner, more flexible WordPress and WooCommerce setup that gave Upstage Footwear a stronger foundation for the future.

𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐫 - 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 Erazalaser is an Australian laser tattoo removal clinic. I initially worked on their WordPress website but the project eventually grew into SEO, performance optimization, hosting improvements, a custom LMS, course automation and ongoing technical support. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 The website was experiencing serious performance and stability issues. Pages were extremely slow, the website would frequently crash and the existing setup contained unnecessary and duplicate plugins along with an unstable theme/plugin structure. Since the website was one of the clinic's main sources of appointment enquiries, reliability and performance were important to the business. Later, when Erazalaser expanded into education and launched Erazalaser College, they also needed a way to sell online training and manage the entire course process without relying on manual administration. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐃𝐢𝐝 I rebuilt and developed the WordPress website using Elementor Pro, focusing on creating a cleaner, more reliable foundation while improving the overall structure, user experience and performance. The project then expanded into several areas: 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Built and structured the website using WordPress and Elementor Pro removing unnecessary plugins and improving the overall website setup. 𝐒𝐄𝐎 & 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 Worked on the website's SEO and search visibility to help attract more potential patients through organic search. The client later reported that appointment enquiries had doubled after the improvements. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 When performance issues returned later, I investigated the setup and identified the hosting environment as a major factor. I recommended moving to a more suitable hosting environment which resulted in a more stable website. 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐋𝐌𝐒 When Erazalaser launched its training division, I developed a custom learning system that allowed students to: • Purchase courses online • Access their own course dashboard • View course materials • Complete assessments • Track their progress • Receive certificates after successfully completing the requirements 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 The LMS was designed around the client's actual workflow rather than simply installing a standard course plugin. Assessment completion and certificate generation were automated, reducing the amount of manual work required from the team. 𝐎𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 The relationship continued beyond the initial website project. I have continued supporting the business with development, troubleshooting, performance improvements, SEO, hosting-related issues, LMS improvements and ongoing technical support as their requirements evolved.
