I'm recording a youtube video right now and talking about having a strong portfolio and how important it is to show your work made me remember mine has been dormant for a while 🫣 This is a pretty simple logo animation I did a while ago but for some reason I just love it - maybe it's the colors or just the simplicity of it? Would love to hear your thoughts!

From the vault: Logo Animation I did for a client using Procreate ✨ Back in 2015, I did an After Effects animation course, and honestly, it's not that I cannot use it; it's just too complex for my liking. & since animation isn't my main thing, I honestly prefer doing small little animations in things like Procreate, which I used in this case to animate this logo for a client. It's very short, very quick, and I truly enjoyed the result and believe the client did too (this was quqite a while ago, so I don't fully remember, but one thing you must know about me is I never leave a client without a happy ending!)

And other people I showed it too also really liked the designs. And you know what?? It's work, and it's work that I did and that I'm proud of, and I'm going to share it in my portfolio ✨ Curious to know, and be brutally honest - what do you think about these? PS: these were done as individual, static social media ads. I believe they were for Meta in the feed, but I could be mistaken since this was a few months ago already 😅

Just sharing a recent logo animation I did for 1000K Berlin. I built the base motion in After Effects and then painted over it frame-by-frame to give the movement more texture and life. Do you ever mix techniques like this to add more visual interest to your work?
