Nairo Roast – Premium Kenyan Coffee Brand Identity
I designed a complete visual identity for Nairo Roast, a Nairobi-based specialty coffee brand focused on single-origin Kenyan beans and community storytelling.
The challenge was to create a look that feels modern and premium while honoring Kenyan heritage, avoiding clichés like overused safari motifs.
I developed:
Primary logo: clean wordmark with a subtle bean-derived abstract mark
Secondary icon & color system (deep terracotta, forest green, warm beige + bold mustard accent)
Typography pairing: modern sans + elegant script
Applied mockups: coffee bag packaging, business card, Instagram post
Tools: Figma + Illustrator

1. Label shape: Keeping a diamond-like label similar to the previous packaging to maintain a visual link with past.
2. Color system: Maintaining flavor color differentiation so returning customers can still easily recognize their favorite one.
3. Ingredient illustrations: A shared base of botanical elements across all bottles, with the center of the illustration highlighting the main flavor of each variant.

Sproutly is such a lovely concept — the scan-to-care UX removes the biggest barrier for new plant parents ("what does my plant actually need?"). The Sproutly visual identity is so cohesive — that deep forest green + clean white combo with the leaf motif feels premium yet approachable!
