The replit challenge and "hackathons" like it are exploitive spec work akin to gambling preying on creatives.
Anyone participating is signing away their rights to their work doing free creation for another platforms marketplace.
A 9 BILLION dollar funded company btw.
Per the terms:
"Without limiting the foregoing, participants grant Replit the right to remix, modify, and create derivative works from templates created by participants."
Super Skeevy , not in the spirit of hackathons at all.
@Contra HQ take lessons from devpost and every other hackathon, gamejam, etc platforms that's come before you .
Creatives are not here to be farmed for making free art for billion dollar brands looking to cheap out.

Hi Paul!
We completely understand your concern. To clarify: This is a Replit-specific term and not specific or applicable to all challenges on Contra. If you have any questions about this, we’d suggest emailing Replit support at support@replit.com as I’m sure they’ll be happy...

⚡ 200 LOVABLE CHALLENGE CREDITS — UPDATE FOR EXISTING PRO USERS
A quick update to my previous post about the 200 Lovable Challenge credits and the issue of redeeming them with an existing Lovable Pro subscription.
I contacted both Lovable Support and Contra Support.
Lovable Support replied:
Challenge codes are normally redeemed through the challenge redemption link and are set up for workspaces that do not already have an active paid plan. This explains why there is no place to enter the code in my existing Pro workspace.
Importantly, Lovable advised me not to cancel or change my current Pro subscription.
They asked me to send them my LOVABLE-CONTRA code so they can verify it on their side. I have now sent the code and am waiting for their response.
Contra Support replied:
They referred me to the Challenge Guidelines. In their earlier response, Contra Support also confirmed that they did not have specific documentation explaining how the additional challenge credits should be redeemed by participants who already have an active Pro subscription.
So, for now, the most useful confirmed information for existing Pro users is:
Do not cancel or modify your current Lovable Pro subscription while trying to activate the 200 Challenge credits.
I’ll update this again as soon as I receive more information from Lovable.
And if anyone here has already received a newer answer or successfully activated the 200 credits on an existing Pro account, please share your experience in the comments. I’ll be very glad to hear any updates that may help all of us before the deadline.

I made a free agent skill for Framer template creators. It QAs a template before it goes on the Marketplace: checks the editor project, the live site on every breakpoint, and SEO and AEO, fixes clear issues, and adds a getting-started guide for buyers.

I just built Persona for the Lovable x Contra challenge #lovablechallenge 💅
The problem (for my hypothetical client, Maya, a solo nail tech in London): clients book 1 hour, then show up with a 3-hour Pinterest design. Her whole day slips, and ~20% of clients no-show.
What Persona does:
→ The client uploads an inspiration photo and AI vision classifies how complex the design is
→ The AI doesn't guess minutes. The owner sets minutes and a price range for each tier, so it fits her own speed
→ Only slots that actually fit (duration + buffer) are offered
→ A deposit locks the slot, and clients can reschedule or cancel online (24h rule)
→ The owner dashboard shows the photo, the AI's read and its confidence. Unsure bookings are flagged so she can adjust and confirm in one click
→ Any studio can sign up and get its own booking page
Honest status: payments and emails are simulated for now.
What's next: real payments (Stripe), real email confirmations and reminders, testing the AI on a lot more real photos, then other appointment businesses like lashes, brows and tattoo studios.
I'd love a few testers, especially solo beauty pros. If you book clients through Instagram DMs today, comment "beta" or message me and I'll set you up.
