When stories deserve more than documentation, they deserve a visual language of their own.
Criando Pontes is a short film built around memory, identity, resistance, and the lived experiences of women whose voices are too often overlooked.
For this project, I was responsible for the visual universe surrounding the film — creating the illustrations, animation assets, and graphic materials that helped shape its emotional and narrative presence.
My work included:
• Key art and official poster design • Original illustration development • Motion graphics and animation assets • Visual identity system for the project • Promotional and communication materials • Social media assets and campaign visuals
Rather than approaching the artwork as traditional film marketing, the goal was to extend the story beyond the screen. Every visual element was designed to reflect the themes explored throughout the documentary: memory, body, voice, resilience, and transformation.
The poster became a visual narrative itself — bringing together the protagonists, symbolic elements, and emotional atmosphere of the film into a single piece that communicates both the intimacy and the strength of their journeys.
Projects like this remind me why I love working at the intersection of design, storytelling, and culture.
Criando Pontes was not only a film project. It was an opportunity to translate lived experiences into visual form and contribute to a story that deserves to be seen, heard, and remembered.
