i did something that will upset framer creators:
offering my services as a developer for just $100 per month.
but hear me out...
i quote somewhere between $1000 to $5000 for large projects and established businesses.
on the other hand i disliked saying no to smaller brands because of their budget constraints.
so i decided to be biased
what the subscription gets them:
→ one website built, maintained, updated and refined in framer.
→ applicable to sites built with templates.
→ changes pushed in 48 hours; 8 hours if urgent.
here's what i realised that led to this:
→ most small biz are cutting down on expenses
→ those that are not tech savvy can't use ai or framer agent or even templates
→ most small biz need a "online presence" or some legal pages to prove their existence
with the speed of the framer agent and external agents, it's easy for me to quickly push changes using a $20/mo or $200/mo claude code sub - opus 5.5 is just too good.
how do i benefit from this:
→ consistent revenue (of course they can cancel anytime but 5+ clients and consistent outreach can help keep this realistically the same).
→ framer commissions coming in for new projects
→ reduced friction since $100 is a no brainer for most small businesses
→ upsell @ $200/mo if they need branding/design (figma/framer design pages).
why even post this:
→ i talked to various creators/developers using framer who were struggling; their common concern was finding clients
→ this model helps you reach out to more clients with a small retainer; if your work backs it up then they will pay you
→ i have 3 paying clients right now with little marketing; the goal is to get to 10+ by the end of the year.
