The Premise
Capturing the raw energy of hip-hop culture and the vibrant festival atmosphere, the animation acts as a dynamic, visual roadmap for attendees. It seamlessly blends the distinct identities of both brands while directly guiding fans and festival-goers to the exclusive Mascotte & Babcia Marysia special zone located on the Rap Stacja 2026 festival grounds.

What if your motion graphics could react to what's happening around them?
I recreated this proximity-based animation in After Effects, where a moving controller influences the characters around it.
The fun part was taking the basic idea further making the characters move, changing their facial expressions, making the eyes follow the controller, and even adding proximity-based lighting.
It’s a good example of how expressions can turn a simple animation into something much more interactive.
I’ve also recorded the complete tutorial and broken down how I built the effect step by step.
