Why stare at an anxious, ticking clock when you can watch a candle burn?
~~the visual design~~
I wanted to tackle "time blindness" without the stress. Traditional timers often induce anxiety by forcing you to stare at ticking numbers. By replacing the countdown with a calming visual state, Until it Melts creates an intuitive, anxiety-reducing way to pace yourself.
~~how the assets work~~
>Pick your visual: Choose an anchor for your session ---- like a melting ice cube 🧊, a burning candle 🕯️, or a blooming flower 🌱.
> Feel the time: The digital clock is intentionally minimized in the background! You rely entirely on the pacing of the animation to reference how much time you have left.
>Nostalgic aesthetics: The chunky 8-bit style and 2000s PC desktop UI turn your daunting to-do list into a cozy, comforting retro game environment.

Productivity should feel peaceful, not punishing. I was so inspired by people using physical objects to track their study sessions, I had to bring it to life digitally using Figma Make! 🙌
