I'm building Until it Melts: a cozy, retro productivity space.
~~the idea~~
A few weeks ago, I was scrolling through TikTok and kept seeing videos of people studying alongside physical objects,
~like a video of melting ice or a candle slowly burning down.
I loved the idea of using these as a calming visual aid to track time.
I wanted to capture that feeling, but wrap it in the nostalgia of an old-school 2000s PC desktop to make a workspace you actually want to spend time in.
~~how it works~~
1. You input your tasks and set your session time.
2. You watch a calming visual to track your progress.
3. If you start falling behind your set pace, your tasks physically "heat up"
4. Need company? Pick a desk companion that hangs out on your screen and reacts to how your work session is going.
5. Need a break? Play a game or jot down some notes!
~~the vision~~
Productivity doesn't have to be boring. Sometimes you just need a digital workspace that feels like a cozy, retro game to get in the zone.
Can't believe how fun it was to bring this vibe to life using Figma Make.

Motivating children through gamified household tasks
Managing household routines frequently causes friction between parents and children. Parents need a reliable way to track assigned chores, while children often lack the motivation to complete them without clear incentives. Kudos is a gamified task management app concept designed to bridge this gap by turning daily chores into a structured reward system.

Redesigning Good Reads to Empower Social Reading
Goodreads is a popular app for tracking books, writing reviews, and discovering new reads.
However, users often describe it as outdated, difficult to navigate, and lacking social engagement.
The Goal?
Upgrade the challenge system into a socially rich reading ecosystem. It is one that encourages interaction, emphasises progress, and turns reading into a shared experience.
