I've been working on an amazing self-initiated project with @Sanjana Sharma. We created to explore a more editorial, story-led approach to tourism websites.
Blue Ridge County - fictional place, complete creative freedom, and one of our favorite design explorations so far.

This is such a beautiful exploration. The editorial and story-led direction really makes it feel like a place you want to explore.

Thanks, Kabir! That’s exactly what we were aiming for, something that feels less like a typical tourism site and more like a place you’d actually want to discover. Really appreciate that! 🙌

editorial travel sites are so underused

Totally agree @Nazar Koliano! I feel like the editorial approach makes travel websites feel much more immersive and memorable than the usual destination-site layouts.

Blue Ridge County has such a specific mood, more magazine spread than typical tourism site. Curious whether the editorial direction came first and the fictional place got built around it, or the place came first and you found the voice to match?

That’s exactly how it happened, @Diego Sánchez. The editorial direction came first, and then we built the fictional place, stories, and overall character around that visual approach. It was a fun way to let the design lead the world-building.
