The manuscript needed to speak to children while staying true to its biblical and cultural roots, so the editing focused on clear, age-appropriate language, smooth pacing, and consistency in names, places, and tone, from the besieged town of Bethulia to Judith’s moment of courage. I kept the author’s faith-centered voice intact. A proofreading pass followed to catch grammar, spelling, and punctuation issues so the final text read cleanly. Then I built the book itself, with an interior laid out for a 6 x 9 inch trim, suitable fonts and spacing for young readers, and complete front and back matter. The final stage was publishing: setting up the listing on Amazon with its description, metadata, and category placement, and releasing the paperback.
