The objective for this image was to manage extreme backlighting and preserve the natural realism of a vibrant sunrise. Starting with the uncompressed RAW data, I carefully balanced the high dynamic range to protect the bright solar highlights while retaining authentic, crisp detail on the zebra. A specialized colour grade was then applied to enhance the morning warmth and the overall mood of the image.
