About this project:
This is a mock homepage copy project for Anansi Weave, a fictional handwoven Kente & textile brand based in Accra.
The Challenge: Most heritage brands either sound too academic or too touristy. Anansi Weave needed a voice that honours the sacred history of Kente (Ashanti & Ewe traditions) while still feeling modern, wearable and shoppable for everyday life — scarves, totes, home textiles.
My Approach:
Hero with meaning: Lead with emotion -"Every thread tells a story" - not just product.
Brand story that respects craft:
Emphasised "days, not minutes" and "each pattern has a name and a meaning" to fight fast-fashion positioning.
Product with context:
Didn't just list products; added purpose — Everyday Scarf for daily wear, Adinkra Tote for real use, plus a promise that every product page tells the pattern's meaning and the weaver's name.
Result:
A warm, trustworthy, luxury-minimal voice that makes heritage feel personal and buyable. Structure is optimized for a lifestyle e-commerce homepage: Hero → About → Product Intro → Closing CTA.
Skills used:
Brand Voice Development, Website Copywriting, Heritage Storytelling, UX Copy Structure, Persuasive CTA.
Available for:
Similar work in fashion, retail, culture-led brands and Ghanaian/African DTC brands wanting to sell globally.
