I would stop on the left one. The right is cleaner no doubt but left is more eye catchy

Which flow seems more natural to you? In the first option, the user opens the app and is offered a general selection of films. If the user wants to get unique recommendations, they can do so separately. In the second option, the app first asks about current preferences and then offers personalized recommendations.
