What if music wasn’t just something you hear, but something you respond to visually?
I built a live visual instrument in Figma Make.
It listens to sound in real time. Bass, mids, transients and energy become a shifting visual form. As I play, the form breathes, stretches, fractures, stabilises. And I can respond to that.
It creates a different kind of feedback loop: play → see → feel → adjust.
I’ve always thought visuals in music should be more than decorative - stage lighting, projection, branding. What happens when the visual layer becomes part of the instrument?
This is an early prototype exploring that idea. Curious whether other musicians would compose differently if they could see their sound evolve in front of them.
