Is naming a product always this dramatic, or is it just me? When I was dreaming about building my own product, I thought technical limitations would be the thing standing between me and the dream
Turns out, the hardest part so far is naming it 😤
I've been partying in this naming hell for monthsss now, and still haven't found the one that clicks
For myself, I call my motion experiments wanders✨ Because they started as creative wandering - following my curiosity, playing, tweaking, and seeing what happens. Without a brief, a goal, or any plan at aaall
But now these experiments are slowly growing into actual tools, and the name doesn't feel quite right anymore
To me, they will probably always be wanders But for other people, they need to become a product
So now I'm trying to find a name that feels right, sounds good, makes sense, is available, and doesn't make me cringe two weeks later
Hey, product/company owners, I need your wisdom 🙌 How did you find your name? And how did you know it was the one?

Just follow what seems to be the common trend of just using whatever the product does and then adding "ly" to the end. Feels like every 3rd company I see follows this pattern haha!

Naming is so hard! I alwasy overthink, so to combat that I just take pen to paper and do stream of consciousness.
