When I was going through the MET Public Domain archive, this portrait caught my attention. I imagined what would the scene be if the dog wanted to scape, since I can only imagine such a little dog being so still for hours of portrait sitting... This is my interpretation of the scene. Hope you like it!

Anima is a self-initiated type design project inspired by vintage print, worn ink and analog photography.

The collection includes two experimental serif typefaces: Anima Editorial, with elegant proportions and contrasting strokes, and Anima Retro, with softer, bolder shapes. Both feature grain built into the letterforms.

I developed the creative direction, custom fonts and promotional artwork, combining AI-assisted exploration with font development. The campaign pairs textured typography with motion-blurred photography to capture a warm, nostalgic mood. FREE DOWNLOAD AT https://twaperdigital.com/anima-retro

Scott, founder of Glenwood Primary Care and Geriatrics, came to me looking for stock photos for his new website. I proposed building an image library for his brand instead, guided by a clear visual guide based on his patients, his logo and the local landscape. The result was 20 images made with AI, art direction and hand retouching, plus home page mockups on desktop and phone to help him choose the hero. If you were Scott, would you have gone with stock photos or a custom image library?
