AI Spec Ad This spot was created entirely using AI tools, from start to finish — no cameras, no actors, no shoot. It began with a base image generated in ComfyUI, building out the visual concept of "Sleep Analysis" — a human face transformed into a data dashboard, with sleep metrics, heart rate, and apnea alerts layered directly onto the skin, as if technology could read the body in real time. From that image, the motion and narrative were built in Seedance, animating each interaction: the tap on "Sleep Score" that triggers a purple-and-orange gradient of light, and the cut to "Sleep Apnea," where everything goes dark and a scanning light sweeps across the face as she sleeps. The result is an exercise in AI-driven creative direction — showing how a product campaign, in this case built around the concept of wearable-free sleep tracking, can be fully constructed using generative models, from the first frame to the final animated piece, while maintaining visual consistency, cinematic lighting, and a clear narrative in just 15 seconds. Nonetheless, we all know how powerful the mind is. If we don't learn how to control it, we can slowly descend into Hades—a place so dark that your inner thoughts become distorted by your fears, often leading to stress, anxiety, and depression. To guard your soul, your mind, and your heart is one of the most important missions you have. Without a healthy mind and body, you're barely able to truly live. In this creative world, where we're constantly consuming reels, films, concerts, essays, reviews, and endless content, we often end up trapped in a state of hyperconnectivity. What once inspired us can quietly turn into comparison, making us feel like we're not good enough, not ready to start, or that it's already too late to begin. I've felt that—that weight on your back, in your chest, in your head... In those moments, I disconnect from everything so I can reconnect with myself and with God. "Automate the skills you are willing to lose." That quote just changed my life. I've had an internal battle for the past few years. I've wanted to learn 3D, but I've never had the discipline to finish a project—or even a course. I always end up feeling guilty, like I've wasted my time or money. I've realized that one of my biggest problems is that I don't have the patience for the level of detail that I admire so much in 3D. I admire 3D artists because they have the mindset to perfect even the smallest details to make a render look incredible, even if no one else notices them. So every time I started a 3D tutorial, I'd get frustrated when I couldn't achieve that "perfect" result. Eventually, I'd quit and tell myself, "This isn't for me." With AI, of course, everything becomes easier and faster—or at least much easier and faster compared to traditional 3D workflows. When I started using AI, I was excited that I could create these complex ideas in minutes, and the results were fantastic. But after two years of working with AI, I've realized that I want to create more ambitious projects using hybrid filmmaking techniques. And I've also realized that even though I could make them entirely with AI, I still want to learn and use 3D software like Unreal Engine. I've trained my brain to expect everything to be easy and fast, and I've forgotten the value of the struggle. I say "easy and fast" because, to deliver truly high-quality work with AI, you still need to know what you're doing. You need an understanding of cinematic language, a clear creative vision, patience, and the willingness to iterate over and over again. After watching this conference by Blender Guru (I still don't think I ever finished that freaking donut 😢), I realized, after reading that final quote, that there's a way for me to use 3D software without feeling like I'm dying in the process... again. Modeling makes me anxious and stressed. But whenever I worked on texturing and lighting in 3D, I absolutely loved it. So I've decided to use AI to create and model the things that would normally take me days, reducing them to minutes or hours, and then spend my time perfecting the parts I genuinely enjoy—lighting, texturing, compositing, and bringing everything together. I know a lot of people will probably disagree with me because modeling is at the heart of 3D. And honestly... I wish I had that passion. Believe me. But I don't actually want to become a 3D artist. I deeply admire 3D artists. I admire VFX artists. But it's not my passion. I think this has always been an internal struggle of mine. Whenever I start learning something new, I feel like I have to abandon everything else and make that new thing my identity. But that's not true. For me, 3D isn't the destination. I'll continue to admire the artistry, craftsmanship, and dedication of 3D and VFX artists with all my heart. But for me, 3D is a tool—a powerful one—not the engine that drives my creativity. And maybe that's okay. Automate the skills you're willing to lose, so you can spend more time mastering the ones you truly love. Hand Tracking 1 After watching videos on Instagram from different content creators showcasing interactive websites, I wanted to try it myself. My goal is to create an interactive portfolio featuring all the AI images and videos I've created over the past two years. Of course, I could ask Claude or Antigravity to build a story-scrolling experience with different animations, but I think this approach offers a new and more exciting way to present my work and immerse viewers in my creations. To the AI creatives: I remember when AI became a sensation a few years ago. Everyone was amazed by the realistic quality and the infinite possibilities for creation. It was new, exciting, fun—but also intimidating. Fast-forward to today. Even though its popularity has grown and the technology has improved significantly, I've realized that many people who are not experienced with these tools have developed certain expectations about them. AI = Fast = High Quality = Cheap No. Yes, tools like Nano Banana, Kling, and Seedance can produce impressive results, but don't forget that behind those results is a person sitting at a computer, iterating over and over and over again until they find that "perfect" final image. I've had bad experiences with clients who think that just because I'm using AI, I should charge less. "You use AI. You can do it in 20 minutes. Why are you charging so much?" Well, what about the credits? What about post-production in Photoshop and Lightroom when needed? What about the constant back-and-forth to match branding guidelines and client feedback? Those minutes and hours count too—not just the speed of Higgsfield, Kling, or ComfyUI. And what about our hardware? Our storage drives? Our electricity costs? Our subscriptions? Know your value. Just because you're using AI doesn't mean you're an emotionless robot working nonstop, generating endless iterations for cheap dollars. Take your time. Trust your process. Don't fall for the "it's instant and effortless" narrative that many content creators promote—or that some clients expect. Plan your work. Define your goals. Sometimes a single image can take hours to get right. If a client thinks that because something is generated quickly it should automatically be cheap, the answer is still: No. Know your value. Have a detailed understanding of how much you spend on credits, software, hardware, post-production, and revisions. Clients are paying for results, experience, taste, creative direction, problem-solving, and the countless hours you've invested in mastering these tools—not just for the seconds it takes an AI model to render an image.
