Trying to make the morph a little smoother for my app.. fade the type out, reshape the card, fade it back in. feels way less chaotic than springing every glyph mid-resize.
Reshaping the card while fading the text out and back in is such a subtle trick, most people would never notice how many micro steps go into making something feel less chaotic. What did the janky version look like before you split it into those fades?
I didn’t even want to capture it lol… it looked really awful. When the card is in it’s morphing state the text then breaks to adapt to the card and it didn’t look nice at all… so I thought it would be nice to fade the text out then appear back when the card has completed its morphing.
A look at the identity we designed for Vetti, a dog health monitoring brand.
There’s a lot of data behind a product like this but the person using it just wants to know their dog is okay.
That’s the balance in the design with a connected dot system that feels precise and warm colors and photography that keep it close to what people care about.
Also, an excellent excuse to spend far too long choosing dog photos.
Really nice balance between data-driven technology and the emotional side of pet care. The connected dot system is a great way to make something technical feel approachable, and the warm photography really brings the brand closer to the pet owners.💯
