When users complain that an app is slow, unstable, or difficult to use, the first thought is often: “Maybe we need to rebuild it.” Not necessarily. Before starting a rebuild, I would first look at what is actually causing the problem.

1️⃣ 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰 Is it the UI, API, database, images, or something else? 2️⃣ 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬 Not every complaint requires a technical rewrite. 3️⃣ 𝐅𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 A small targeted improvement can sometimes make a noticeable difference. 4️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 If the existing architecture genuinely limits the product, then a larger change may make sense.

Sometimes the best solution isn't building again. It's understanding the existing product better.
