From Figma file to live site, the way we run every build:
1. Figma: design approved before any build starts
2. Style guide: type, colour and spacing set up as variables
3. Components: every repeated section built once and reused
4. CMS: collections and fields that match how your team publishes
5. Staging: a private link where you review real pages
6. QA: devices, speed, SEO and forms
7. Launch: redirects, DNS and sitemap, then a final check
No surprises at the end, because nothing gets built before it's agreed.
Where do your projects usually get stuck?

This is a great checklist. The style guide as variables step is the one I wish more people did properly, it makes the whole build feel calm instead of chaotic. Where do your projects usually get stuck in your experience, Figma approvals or QA?

Thanks Timothy. In my experience it's approvals far more than QA. QA is a list we control, approvals depend on how many people are in the room, so naming one decision-maker at kickoff saves weeks. Agree on variables too, they're what keep the build calm when the third round of changes lands.

Staging with a private link is underrated. Clients react so much better to a real page.

Completely agree, Rafee. A real page on a real phone gets clear feedback in minutes, while a static frame tends to get "looks good" and then surprises after launch.
