Aza Raskin, a technology engineer and designer at the interface company Humanized, invented infinite scrolling in 2006.
Originally designed to create a smooth and uninterrupted browsing experience by eliminating the need to click to view new pages, Raskin later expressed regret about this invention, noting its role in creating an addictive, time-consuming form of "behavioral cocaine."
☀️ Today, we propose an update to this invention aimed at limiting the addiction mechanism.

neat approach to the problemas visual paradigm there's also showing a regular scroll bar and growing the literal scrollbar handle till it fills the track.

@Philippe Côté Neat approach to the problem from a visual paradigm perspective. Another idea could be showing a regular scrollbar and gradually expanding the scrollbar handle until it fills the entire track.

Went with calm and focused. The copy is literally asking people to focus on what matters, so a header that competes for attention with a glow works against its own message.

I just like making things like this.
I made this one as an experiment without opening a single design app. Basically, I just kept telling Codex what I wanted it to do.
It’s not a magic button. It took around 100 prompts and quite a few hours. But the fact that you can make something like this just by talking, without touching a keyboard or mouse, is still pretty wild.
And the whole thing runs and renders right in the browser.
