Naqsh (ููุด) is a living mosaic wall the world builds together. Place a ceramic tile on an authentic 8-fold Islamic geometry grid, and watch it appear in real time on every visitor's screen then rise into a 3D courtyard with ambient oud and a craftsman's voice.
Every tile is permanent. The wall remembers every hand that touched it. Built solo in Tunis.
How it was built: I wrote the zellige geometry as pure mathematics and injected it into Figma Make, wired Supabase realtime for live multiplayer, and used Three.js for procedural 3D extrusion + ElevenLabs for the audio layer.

Every morning my mother draws Rangoli
on our doorstep in Bengaluru.
I always watched but could never
recreate her art.

Hey Contra โ new here but figured Iโd share what Iโve been building.
Iโve been posting progress on Twitter, but quick look at where Desk Doodles is at.
Itโs basically a canvas that takes any drawing, SVG, or image and pushes it through different hand-drawn treatments โ rough sketch, bold ink, stipple, charcoal, etc.
The fun part is that every mark-making modifier is controllable. Wobble, multi-stroke, shading, pen tips, texture, all that stuff.
The fun part is its going to become a live canvas people around the world can put thier own object. Think of it like a desk as a public space!
The bigger goal is an intelligent design system that can look at the source and pick the right treatment per region automatically. So itโs not just โslap a filter on it.โ Itโs more like the system understanding what kind of marks should go where.
Where itโs at right now:
/audit โ 197 reference shapes rendering through every style in real time. This is mostly the engine testbed.
/playground โ pick items, place them, tweak modifiers live.
SVG upload is working too.
Still need to ship drawing โ 3D, complex SVG โ 3D, public canvas, and mode switching.
But yeah, thatโs where Iโm at right now.
I'm excited to see the final project!
