I know this is an irrational thought. I know it’s not true.
But it buzzes like a fly in my head: “People only say nice things to me because someone told them to.”
Weird, right? I laugh at it. But some days… I believe it.
Therapy helped me learn to pause and ask: “Is this actually true? Are there facts?” If not, it’s just a thought. Like gas. (Therapist’s words, not mine lol.)
Lately, the buzz has been louder. But I know it’ll pass — even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Like fireflies in the dark. Hard to see at first, but they show up.
