🚤 DockFlow — Solving the "Greasy Hands" Booking Problem for Mobile Mechanics
Hey everyone! Here is my official entry for the #lovablechallenge: DockFlow.
🏢 The Business:
Business: Biscayne Mobile Marine & Outboard Repair (Miami, FL)
Owner: Elena Rossi (Solo Mobile Boat Engine Mechanic)
😫 The Real-World Headache:
Elena drives a mobile workshop van to docks and marinas to fix boat engines. When she is working, both hands are covered in thick engine grease. She physically cannot pick up her phone to answer customer calls.
She spent 14 hours every week playing phone tag asking for boat parking numbers and dock gate codes, and lost hundreds of dollars when customers canceled after she drove 45 minutes across city traffic.
⚡ What We Built in Lovable:
We turned chaotic phone calls into an automated, paid booking flow:
Marketing Landing Page (/): Explains the service with an interactive 3-slide visual showcase.
Customer Fast-Track Booking (/book):
Shows Elena's live availability and wait time before booking.
Allows customers to record their engine issue or warning sound with their phone's microphone.
Checks ocean water levels to ensure the boat isn't stuck in shallow mud.
Locks a $175 deposit upfront to stop no-shows.
Standby waitlist mode when today's slots are full.
Elena's Van Dashboard (/owner):
Organizes her day on a simple 1-2-3-4 sequential map.
Automatically checks her van shelves (Bin 3B) for replacement cooling parts.
One-tap status updates ("On the way", "Arrived", "Job Done") that text the customer automatically.
Displays the Standby Waitlist Queue with live 5-minute claim countdowns.
Automatically moves finished repairs into a Completed Service History log.
Supabase Realtime Broadcast: When someone cancels, the open slot automatically cascades to standby boaters in real time across devices!
Production Polish: English & Spanish (EN/ES) language switcher, Light/Dark themes, and a live Supabase database backend.
🔗 Try It Out:
Feedback is welcome! Thank you to @Lovable and Contra for this challenge!
